During the 978 World Series Of Poker No Limit Hold’em Championship, then a pro poker player Bobby Baldwin, now president and owner of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas. He was to play against San Antonio real estate investor Crandall Addington for all the marbles.
Addinton was heavily favored at the time, having about 275k $ of chips worth. Compared to Baldwin’s 145k. Baldwin bet before the flop and Addington called. The flop was Queen Of Diamonds, 4 Of Diamonds and 3 Of Clubs. Baldwin had bet 30k, Why would he bet? What could he have? A flush draw, a straight draw.. So was the possbility of a pair of queens.
