In Holdem, two cards are dealt face down to each player playing and a round of betting takes place. On the first round, players can call or raise the blind bet or they can just fold like always. Most casinos allow a bet and three to four raises per betting round. When only two players are in for the pot, the limits of raises is unlimited.

When the first round of betting is complete, three communal cards, called the flop are dealt face up on the center of the tabl. Then another round of betting ensues. Players may check if no one has bet when it is their turn to act. If there is no bet, a player may check or even bet. If there is a bet, the player can do these fold, call, raise or reraise.
